I remember growing up with a friend who’s dad made the most wonderful Gingerbread houses each year. Every year it was a different theme and it had working parts!! Merry go rounds, water running and she’d host a decorating party that lasted all day with friends, and yummy snacks.
When the girls were two they made simple Graham Gingerbread Houses Nothing fancy but they were quite proud of it!
Then I was ambitious and decided to bake the pieces for a house! It was quite the job and I managed to burn a few pieces a bit! Luckily it was being covered with decorations.
I have to say the girls really enjoyed this although it was a challege to get it to hold together. We had to wait a bit for the walls to dry with the icing glue!
We tried a prefab house but it just wasn’t the same…so I’m in search of an easy to bake pattern! Any suggestions welcome.
